What is Arrow Finance?

Arrow Finance, primarily known as Arrow Markets, is a decentralized options trading protocol built on the Avalanche blockchain. Its mission is to simplify and democratize access to complex financial derivatives by providing a trustless, efficient, and user-friendly platform for trading options on major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and AVAX.

How Does Arrow Finance Work?

The protocol utilizes a hybrid Request for Quote (RFQ) and Request for Execution (RFE) system rather than traditional automated market maker (AMM) pools. Users request prices from a network of market makers who respond via API, ensuring competitive pricing and high liquidity. Settlement is handled on-chain through Avalanche's C-Chain, integrated with Chainlink Automation nodes for transparent and reliable execution.

What Makes Arrow Finance Unique?

Arrow Finance distinguishes itself by offering 'Lite' and 'Pro' trading modes, catering to both novice traders who want a simplified bullish/bearish interface and professionals who require full option chains. It is backed by prominent industry names like Framework Ventures, Delphi Digital, and the Avalanche Foundation, and focuses on a research-driven UX to solve the complexity barriers typically associated with decentralized options.

Who Are the Founders of Arrow Finance?

The project was founded by a team with deep academic and financial backgrounds, led by co-founders including Patrick Gruhn (who has experience in crypto-legal frameworks) and academic researchers focused on financial engineering. The team spent over three years in research and design iteration before the platform's public launch to ensure robust financial logic.
