Ethereum Credit Guild: Project Guide | Latest Updates, Presale & Airdrop

Q: What is the Purpose of Ethereum Credit Guild?

The Ethereum Credit Guild aimed to create a credibly neutral and censorship-resistant savings and credit system, providing decentralized lending and borrowing solutions without reliance on trusted third parties.

Q: How Can I Participate in Ethereum Credit Guild's Ecosystem?

As the Ethereum Credit Guild has ceased operations, participation in its ecosystem is no longer possible.

Q: What Sets Ethereum Credit Guild Apart from Competitors?

The Ethereum Credit Guild distinguished itself by eliminating reliance on trusted oracle price feeds, implementing auction-based liquidations with lower penalties, and supporting a diverse range of collateral assets, thereby reducing trust assumptions and enhancing user control.

Q: Is Ethereum Credit Guild Secure?

The protocol implemented security measures such as eliminating reliance on manipulable oracle price feeds and utilizing auction-based liquidations to minimize penalties. However, as the project has ceased operations, these security measures are no longer active.

Q: What are the Risks Associated with Ethereum Credit Guild?

Potential risks included borrower defaults, market volatility affecting collateral values, and liquidity challenges during market stress. The protocol aimed to mitigate these risks through collateralization ratios, liquidation processes, and diversified collateral pools. However, with the project's cessation, these risk management measures are no longer in effect.

Ethereum Credit Guild

Lending

The Credit Guild is a protocol for trust minimized pooled lending on the Ethereum network. Its goal is to scale governance to support a larger set of assets and loan terms, while minimizing third party risk. The Credit Guild adopts an optimistic or vetocratic mode of governance. A minority of GUILD holders can propose new lending terms or changes to system parameters like the interest rate split between GUILD stakers, lenders, and the surplus buffer.

What is Ethereum Credit Guild?

The Ethereum Credit Guild was a community dedicated to scaling on-chain lending and borrowing without trust assumptions. It aimed to provide a decentralized savings and credit system that operated without reliance on trusted oracle price feeds, thereby enhancing security and transparency in the lending process.

How Does Ethereum Credit Guild Work?

The protocol allowed users to lend and borrow assets without the need for trusted oracle price feeds. Lenders provided assets like USDC or WETH, minted corresponding gTokens, and earned interest from borrowers. Borrowers selected lending terms, supplied collateral, and minted gTokens, which they could redeem for underlying assets. The system utilized auction-based liquidations to minimize penalties and supported a variety of collateral types.

What Makes Ethereum Credit Guild Unique?

Key features included stable interest rates, elimination of price feed manipulation risks, auction-based liquidations with lower penalties, support for diverse collateral assets, lender veto rights, and fair handling of bad debt. These aspects distinguished it from other lending protocols by reducing trust assumptions and enhancing user control.

Who Are the Founders of Ethereum Credit Guild?

The project was initiated by Kirk, who focused on on-chain lending research and development. Co-founder and primary smart contract developer Erwan, known as @eswak, previously worked at Fei Protocol. The team also included @alfulinku, who led backend development and contributed to frontend and smart contract development.
