Q: What is the Purpose of ProphetX?

The primary goal of ProphetX is to provide a fair, transparent, and user-centric platform where people can trade outcomes of sports and events without the high fees and manipulated odds of traditional bookmakers.

Q: How Can I Participate in ProphetX's Ecosystem?

Users can participate by downloading the mobile app, creating custom prediction markets, or taking the other side of existing predictions using virtual Prophet currencies.

Q: What Sets ProphetX Apart from Competitors?

Unlike competitors like DraftKings or FanDuel, ProphetX is an exchange, meaning users bet against each other. This peer-to-peer model allows for significantly better odds and the ability for users to act as the market maker.

Q: What are the Risks Associated with ProphetX?

As with any prediction platform, risks include market volatility and the potential for loss of virtual currency. The project manages these risks through rigorous KYC/AML compliance and clear sweepstakes rules.

ProphetX

Prediction market

ProphetX is a peer-to-peer sports prediction market platform that adopts the legal Sweepstakes model. Users can directly trade sports event results (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, UFC and other dozens of leagues) with other players, set their own odds, buy and sell positions, and place bets in real time without betting against the banker. It supports real cash transactions, instant withdrawals (banks, debit cards, PayNearMe), and will soon launch cryptocurrency payments.

What is ProphetX?

ProphetX is a peer-to-peer sports prediction exchange and decentralized prediction market dApp. Originally launched as a regulated betting exchange in New Jersey, it has evolved into a sweepstakes-based social platform and a Web3 application on the BNB Smart Chain. Its mission is to democratize forecasting by allowing users to bet against each other rather than a traditional bookmaker, ensuring more transparent and fair odds across sports, politics, and entertainment.

How Does ProphetX Work?

The platform operates using a dual-currency sweepstakes model consisting of Prophet Points (for fun) and Prophet Cash (redeemable for prizes). On its Web3 side, it leverages smart contracts on the BNB Smart Chain to handle market creation, participation, and settlement. Users can set their own odds for specific events; if another user accepts those odds, the prediction is locked into a trustless escrow until the real-world outcome is verified and the contract executes the payout.

What Makes ProphetX Unique?

ProphetX stands out by offering up to 20% better odds than traditional sportsbooks because it eliminates the 'house edge' or heavy 'vig' associated with centralized bookmakers. It features a unique 'Request for Quote' (RFQ) mechanism that allows users to build and price their own parlays directly with other participants. By combining the social engagement of a sweepstakes casino with the transparency of blockchain technology, it creates a highly liquid and community-driven forecasting environment.

Who Are the Founders of ProphetX?

ProphetX was co-founded by Dean Sisun and Jake Benzaquen. Dean Sisun serves as the CEO and has a strong background in sports betting technology and market liquidity. Jake Benzaquen, the co-founder and COO, has been instrumental in navigating the complex regulatory landscape of the U.S. sports betting market. Together, they transitioned the project from a localized regulated exchange to a nationwide sweepstakes and decentralized Web3 platform.

What Key Events Have There Been for ProphetX?

In September 2024, ProphetX successfully rebranded and launched its sweepstakes-based mobile and web products across 39 U.S. states. A major milestone occurred in late 2025 when the project filed an application with the CFTC to become a designated contract market (DCM), aiming to be the first regulated U.S. exchange for sports-based event contracts. Additionally, the project successfully deployed its decentralized dApp on the BNB Smart Chain testnet during a major Web3 hackathon.

Project Announcements

ProphetX recently announced its expansion into the 'event contracts' space, seeking to integrate more non-sports markets like financial indicators and political outcomes into its peer-to-peer trading stack.
