APE Foundation is the administrator of ApeCoin, it is not a supervisor, but a supporter to the ApeCoin holders in ApeCoin DAO. It is tasked with administering the decisions of the ApeCoin DAO and is responsible for day-to-day stewardship, record keeping, project execution and other tasks to ensure that the ideas of the DAO community are supported and realized.

The ApeCoin DAO exists because decentralized governance is essential to building and managing a globally decentralized community, and the APE Improvement Proposal Process will allow ApeCoin DAO members to discuss and decide on fund allocations, governance rules, projects, partnerships, and more. ApeCoin DAO membership is available to all ApeCoin holders.

The Board of Directors is a special committee of the APE Foundation, at the request of the ApeCoin DAO members, to supervise the administration of the Foundation, implement DAO proposals, and serve the community. The initial board term is 6 months, after which DAO members will vote on board members annually.
